Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lip Color ♡ Drake Review + Swatches

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Drake Lipstick

I am not always up to date with beauty news, especially for a brand that I can hardly afford; so when Tom Ford launched its' Lips & Boys Lip Color in Drake, I was obviously living under a rock then. It wasn't until I did my daily read through of beauty blogs that I saw Tom Ford has released a lipstick called Drake and by the time I check online, it was all sold out, just as expected.

Since then I have added Drake into my wish list and when I saw that Smith & Caughey's now stocks Tom Ford Beauty, I was very excited! It may be a very expensive brand, but it is truly luxury, I cannot help but drool over their products every time I visit the Tom Ford counter in Smith & Caughey's; and there's even more exciting news, Tom Ford is now available to purchase online, which I find that more convenient for me as I live far far away from the city.

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lip Color is a collection of clutch-sized, mini lipsticks inspired by the men in Mr. Ford's life, these lipsticks features an ultra-creamy texture and lasting full coverage in matte, cream and metallic finishes.

Drake is a raspberry plummy pink in a metallic finish and it's not the type of color that you would see me wear regularly. I always think that purple lips and I just don't mix together and metallic lips and I can never be friends, but sometimes you cannot judge a book by its' cover, because Drake wears completely different to what you see in the tube.

A lot of times I would avoid buying mini-sized lipstick because they often snaps in half during application, but so far Drake is in one-piece, it's not scratched, neither damaged and I have already used it plenty of times, totally impressed with the quality!

Tom Ford Lips & Boys Drake has a semi-opaque pigmentation that is buildable with a few swipes, it has a creamy texture that glides on the lips effortlessly and evenly and it feels very lightweight, as if I wasn't wearing any lip colors on the day.

Drake may be described as a metallic finish, but it is less metallic and more wearable than expected. The lip color does transfer when drinks or have food, but it does wears for long hours, the longest I have worn Drake was six hours with no touch-up throughout the day.

"ON MY WORST BEHAVIOR..." I am already planning on buying more despite the expensive price tag, but really, I am so impressed with the quality and I am surprised that a purple lipstick and metallic finish and I would ever become friends!

I am not sure if the Tom Ford Lips & Boys collection is Limited Edition, but nowadays when a brand announced its "Limited Edition Collection", you know that once it's sold out, it will definitely return by popular demand.
