Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Wardrobe ♥ Swatches

Every time a well-known cosmetics company announce they are launching a limited edition product, my mind automatically decide I need that product in my life. *sigh* ~  I am slowly changing my habit of impulse buying, I always feel like I am wasting my money and product on these makeup that I buy but hardly use.

Anyway, today I am sharing some swatches of the Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Wardrobe which features three of Too Faced bronzers. I haven't had a chance to try this out on my face yet but I took some pretty pictures and I must share. ^-^

Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Wardrobe

Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Wardrobe is a limited edition summer palette featuring three Too Faced bronzers with textures ranging from matte to shimmer.  I am a total newbie to Too Faced cosmetics, I only own three lips products from this company and as mentioned above, I bought this cause it's a limited edition palette; which is never sold out! Lol to me, limited edition is mostly things that comes out and sold pretty quickly, but this is is always available, wherever I look.

Oh and of course, I bought this for the cute packaging! The Too Faced bronzer palette comes in a sailor style rectangle tin, kind of reminds me those tin style pencil case I use to carry to school in primary. Oh those days! 90's babies would know what I am on about. ;)

Love the Bonjour bronzer flatbuki brush it came with in the palette. I have heard so many great things about Too Faced's cruelty free teddy bear hair brushes. Absolutely adore the combination of gold and pink and the cut-out hearts design, the brush itself is very soft.

I will definitely write up an in-depth review for each of these bronzer once I have a chance to use and experiment with these. Which of these three are you most interested in for me to review first?

I bought the Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing Wardrobe from Beauty Bay, if you're interested and wants to grab yourself one, it's still available :) click here to purchase.

Sorry guys, I usually go into heaps of details per post but since I haven't used this bronzing palette on myself, or on anyone; I don't want to make up stuff that doesn't exist. I hope you all enjoy the pictures thou. ^-^

Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar - Juicy Cherry ♥ Review + Swatches

Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar 04 Juicy Cherry

When I first started this blog, I have aim to review more of Asian beauty brands, but during the past months I have enjoyed using mostly non-Asian beauties, so that is why it seems like all I have been reviewing lately is MAC... and more MAC.

Of course I have not forgotten about my favourite Asian beauty products, today I am reviewing the Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar which I have received in my Tony Moly Memebox.

Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar 04 Juicy Cherry *judging you* :P

image Packaging:
Look at the packaging! The cap is super kawaii ~ Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar comes package in a slim tube with bunny ears on the cap. Each tube comes with a different facial expression on a cap and different color packaging to match its product inside.

The tube is made of plastic, but it's not those cheap feel and looking plastics. The product packaging overall does not feel cheap at all.

image Scent:
The Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar comes in six fruity flavours, they have later on added three new shades to the petite bunny gloss bar series and I am not sure if those are scented ones. The six flavours included in the original bunny gloss bars are strawberry, grape, apple, cherry, peach and orange. I have already tried peach and grape and I love them both.

The one I am reviewing today is in the shade Juicy Cherry, which smells exactly like cherry sweets. I am a lover of cherry, the actual fruits, but not much a fan of cherry flavour cosmetics. I always feel like, companies tends to add too much flavouring to their cherry flavour products, making them smell too over the top and hard to accept. I would usually avoid cherry flavour lips products, but the smell of Juicy Cherry is acceptable. In fact, it smells yummy!

image Color:
Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar comes in nine colors, with three newly added ones. These color ranges from a bright red to a strange yellow which turns into a pretty pink.

The one I am reviewing today is in the shade 04 Juicy Cherry, it's a pretty sheer red color. It may look like an intense red from the tube, but once apply on the lips, it's showing as a sheer red which can be build up into a more pigmented red; but no way as intense as what you see from the tube.

image Application:
The most annoying thing about a lip product that comes in a pen shape is having to sharpen it whenever the product is used up and this is why I love the Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar, you will only need to twist up 3~5mm of product from the tube then apply directly to your lips, no sharpening needed.

The Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar is like a tinted lip balm, I can easily apply it to my lips without using a mirror and / or messing it up. The gloss bar applies smoothly, with a hint of red color and it leaves a glossy look.

image Longevity:
The Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar can last up to three hours on me, during this time I have had breakfast and drank water. After three hours it starts to fade into a cherry red stain, then it disappear right after I had lunch which was an hour later. In total, the gloss bar can last up to four hours on me.

Tony Moly claims it creates moist and soft lips and I agree! I did exfoliate my lips before application, it applies smoothly and the gloss balm does keeps my lips moisturize while wearing.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Haul + Swatches ♡

I don't normally buy MAC over the counter just because of how expensive they are in New Zealand, but when MAC Alluring Aquatic launched in NZ on the 2nd of June, I travel all the way to town just to pick up Enchanted One!

When MAC Alluring Aquatic launched on Nordstrom, I was only able to pick up a bronzer and the Siren Song lipstick. As always, being almost late for everything, I missed out on the lipstick (Enchanted One) I have been eyeing up on since Temptalia reviewed this collection. Of course, I have expected this collection to be sold out immediate cause who doesn't love the packaging? It's GORGEOUS!

MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzing Powder
MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzing Powder - Refined Golden
This bronzing powder is one of the two which I was able to grab from Nordstrom at a cheaper price, it cost USD $27.50 and not that I need another bronzer, especially not one that looks like it's filled with a whole pan of glitters; it's so obvious, I bought this for the packaging.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden
MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden is described as a finely spun golden with soft pearls. It may looks all glittery in the pan, but it's actually a really gorgeous bronze when swatched on my hand.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Nail Lacquer - Submerged
Review for Submerged is coming soon ;) I got this nail lacquer over the MAC counter in Smith and Caughey for NZD $28.00, it's not bad, I guess ~ Ever since I purchased my first bottle of MAC nail lacquer, I have been so obsessed! Submerged is described as a dark teal chrome, I love that it changes color in different lighting.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipsticks
MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipstick - Enchanted One
So glad to finally own Enchanted One ♥ I drool over this every time I see it on Instagram! I bought MAC Enchanted One over the MAC counter in Smith and Caughey for NZD $44.00, almost twice the price than US pricing. If only I wasn't late for the Nordstrom launch, I would've get this at a much cheaper price. Still worth it thou ~

MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipstick in Enchanted One is described as a mid-tone neutral pink with a matte finish. The shade is not too pale, nor too dark, it's just a perfect everyday wear shade. Enchanted One is quite creamy, it applies smoothly and evenly without tugging my lips.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipstick - Siren Song
This may be one of my most regretted MAC purchase :( I bought this purely for the packaging and because it was the only lipstick left from this collection, being a lipstick addict I am, I have to at least own one lipstick from a MAC collection I like. So I bought MAC Siren Song on Nordstrom for USD $17.50.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipstick in Siren Song is described as a sheer pale beige with a lustre finish. As you can see in my swatches below, it barely shows up on my lips. I mean it does shows up as a sheer champagne color but I would much prefer an expensive lipstick like this one to be more pigmented y'know?! Okay, am I expecting too much again?

Have you guys managed to grab something from this collection? What do you all think of the packaging, the products and the shades from this collection?

Instagram Made Me Do It #2 | Pretty Zombie Cosmetics

Here I am, with another Instagram Made Me Do It post.

Today I will be reviewing the most talked about Pretty Zombie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks. I have seen swatches of these liquid lipsticks flowing around on Instagram, but it never cross my mind as something that I must try, well not until I saw @nancys0fresh (you guys know her? the lipstick queen? yeah I love her Instagram!) posted a picture of these six weeks ago stating that she really wants to try them.

I ordered two Pretty Zombie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks on the 8th of May and I waited twelve days with no shipping confirmation etc, as usual, I kind of panic a bit cause I have never deal with them before and I wasn't sure if they're legit or not. So I emailed them asking for the tracking number and they emailed me back within 12 hours to confirm parcel is on the way to me and they also provided me a tracking number.

I received my package on the 3rd of June, altogether it took 26 days including weekends.

When I opened up my package, it was love at first sight ♥. I bought 3 Witches and Potion #9. Each liquid lipstick comes packaged in a (I think it's clear?!) plastic tube, the design is simple and I like it. A red hair zombie girl and the name of the liquid lipstick is printed on a white sticker which wrapped around the cap.

Potion #9

Potion #9 is described as a "pastel purple" liquid to matte finish. The color from the tube looks pretty and when applied on my lips, it's even more prettier. This is my favourite of the two!

3 Witches

3 Witches is described as a "deep purple" liquid to matte finish. It looks like a dark purple from the tube, but looks almost like a blue on the lips.

These liquid lipsticks are liquid to matte finish and you should allow 90 second to dry.

When I first applied these on my lips, it feels watery, kind of like the Lime Crime Velvetines; then it dries pretty fast to a matte finish which is very similar to the Australis Velourlips. I must say thou, the feel of this is must better than Velvourlips, as Velvourlips tends to make your lips looks cracky, and if you have dry lips, they tend to make your lips looks like it's filled with loads of weird dry patches.

Pretty Zombie Cosmetics have recommended to apply the liquid lipsticks with the lipstick wand, and I love that it allows me to apply smoothly. Both 3 Witches and Potion #9 are very pigmented, one layer of the product allows it to cover my full lips and they don't smell or taste like anything, bonus for those who can only accepts scentless lips products.

The thing I am most afraid of while wearing any type of lips products is the stain, surprisingly the Pretty Zombie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks doesn't stain as badly. Potion #9 didn't stain at all and 3 Witches only stained a little. Both can be easily removed with a makeup wipe.

Overall Rating: 4.5/5

I am keen to get more of these in the future! I have had my eyes on Spellbook and Pink Potion for a long time, but every time I check it on their website, it's always sold out!

Have you tried Pretty Zombie Cosmetics? What do you think of their liquid lipsticks?
